Discipleship

Making Disciples

Discipleship in House of the Nations
Our discipleship mission is to equip and mobilize the church to effectively make disciples locally and ultimately globally. We at House of the Nations believe that Home Groups provide the best avenue to make disciples, so we seek to connect every worship attendee to a Home Group. We desire for all small groups to actively seek to share the Word and serve the World together. We also seek to help equip parents to do the same with the children that God has entrusted to them to disciple and develop into disciple-makers.

Jesus said, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit…” Matthew 28:19

What is Discipleship?
Discipleship is the process of growing deeper to develop the character of Christ in one’s personal life with fellow believers in a practical way. It includes personal and corporate growth in the following areas:

  • Personal growth, worship of God, the spiritual disciplines of God’s reading, meditating in the Word (Bible), a prayer life, and church involvement
  • Growth in Christ-like character and obedient living in a practical way
  • Growth in discovering one’s life, their spiritual gifts, and to utilize them to serve others and the church.
  • Growth in love for all, the lost, and sharing the Gospel
